If you have been feeling down and low lately, then you aren't the only one. The feeling of helplessness and frustration is crippling and yet we need to overcome it, but how?
As we tread our lives in these times of turmoil and stress, considering the genocide that we are witnessing live on social media; it is even more essential to connect to our roots and strengthen our faith in Allah.
And that is exactly how we can overcome our feelings of helplessness and frustration. This is a tough time, no doubt about it, with the heaviest trial being on the Palestinians and the onus being on the ummah that what are we doing in this situation while our brothers and sisters are being slaughtered and tortured.
While, in terms of actions, there are 3 main things that we can do; firstly raise our voices, wherever and however possible, secondly, boycott, boycott and boycott all Israeli products and all those companies that aid them and lastly, but most importantly make dua for them.
Alongside these physical steps, start working on our iman and take heed from their iman and tawwakal.
Have faith that even though we can not see any silver lining in this situation but we know that Allah is our Rabb and only has our best interest at hand. Also, that this world has been created as a test but the akhirah is eternal and in shaa Allah beautiful for all the believers.
Also, remember that Allah is Al-Baseer and Al-'Aleem, He knows and sees that which we do not and we have to trust Him. The people of Hazrat Musa A.S. cried out when they were in between Pharoah's army and the sea and they were asking Hazrat Musa that we believed and we listened to you and look where we are now. But it was at that time of absolute desperation that Allah Ta'ala did the unseen and the unheard of; a miracle that holds us in awe till this age and time; he parted the sea and destroyed Pharoah's army.
So, in these times of distress, we need to remind ourselves that Allah's help is near and when it will come then there will be no second chances for these oppressors.
May Allah's help come soon, may He relieve all the believers and may He punish all the oppressors. Ameen.
Keep praying and keep boycotting.
